First, the money-saving truth: for a Mexican passport you bring no photos — SRE offices and consulates capture your photo, fingerprints, and signature at the appointment, and printed photos are requested only as a rare exception (equipment failure), at the classic tamaño pasaporte of 3.5×4.5 cm. The photo Mexico does make you bring is the visa photo: by the official lineamientos it must measure at most 39 mm tall by 31 mm wide (minimum 32×26 mm), in colour, front view, white background, no glasses — consulates don't take it for you. Presets cover the visa maximum (732×921 at 600 DPI), the SRE 3.5×4.5 standard, and tamaño infantil.
Tamaño infantil — 2.5 cm wide by 3 cm tall — is the size real federal paperwork still names: competency certificates, insurance registrations, and state legal certificates among them, and the CNSF even publishes an exact digital version (a JPG of 160×200 pixels under 50 KB, the fourth preset). The military cartilla is another print survivor, reusing the 35×45 size on matte paper. As always, the honest part: this tool resizes exactly and does nothing else. It won't whiten a background, remove glasses, or validate framing, and it warns rather than silently stretching a face when the crop doesn't match. Everything runs on your device; an identity photo never touches a server here.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring photos for a Mexican passport?
No — the photo that appears in the passport is taken at the SRE office or consulate on the day of your appointment, along with fingerprints and signature. Printed photos are only requested as an exception when equipment fails: two recent colour prints at 3.5×4.5 cm, white background, front view, no glasses — the SRE preset covers that case.
What photo does a Mexican visa application need?
This one you must bring. The official lineamientos set a range: at most 39 mm tall by 31 mm wide, at least 32×26 mm — colour, front view, face fully visible, no glasses, white background. Consulates typically ask for the maximum size, which the visa preset renders at 600 DPI (732×921).
What is tamaño infantil?
Mexico's small document photo: 2.5 cm wide by 3 cm tall, still named by real government paperwork — CONOCER certificates (as a digital file up to 300 KB), CNSF insurance registrations (exactly 160×200 pixels, JPG, under 50 KB — its own preset here), and various state certificates. The print preset renders it at 600 DPI (591×709).
Can this tool fix my photo's background or remove glasses?
No — it resizes exactly and does nothing else, and tells you so. Mexican specs want unretouched photos anyway. Take the photo bare-faced against a white wall in even light, then size it here. Nothing uploads anywhere: the resize happens entirely in your browser.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. ConvertUno runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your file never leaves your computer or phone — there is no upload at all.
Is it really free, with no watermark?
Yes. Processing happens on your device, so serving you costs us almost nothing — no watermark, no account, no file-size limit, no daily quota.
