Trim video
Cut the start and end off a video with a real player preview — end-only cuts are lossless, and it all runs on your own device.

How it works
Your video opens in a normal player: drag the Start and End sliders (the player follows, frame by frame) or scrub to the moment you want and grab the playhead with one tap. Cutting only the end copies the video stream untouched — a lossless trim that finishes in moments. Moving the start re-encodes from your exact frame on your device's video hardware, because a video can only begin on a keyframe and a frame-accurate cut is worth more than a fast-but-sloppy one. Either way you get a standard MP4 with the audio cut to match.
Next step
Cut the clip, then make it fit: the video compressor targets an exact size, with one-tap presets for 10 MB, Discord and 25 MB email attachments. Want a loop instead of a video? Turn the trimmed clip into a GIF with MP4 to GIF, or switch containers with MP4 to WebM.
FAQ
How do I cut the beginning or end off a video?
Drop the video, then drag the Start and End sliders — the player seeks as you drag so you see the exact frame you are cutting at. Or scrub in the player itself and tap “Start here” / “End here” to grab the playhead. Then hit Trim.
Does trimming reduce the video quality?
If you only cut the end, no — the video stream is copied without re-encoding, a lossless cut that finishes almost instantly. Moving the start requires a re-encode (videos can only begin on a keyframe, so a frame-accurate head cut must be decoded and re-encoded), done at high-quality settings on your device’s video hardware.
Is the cut frame-accurate?
Yes. When the start moves, the video is re-encoded from your chosen point, so the output begins on exactly the frame you picked rather than snapping to the nearest keyframe like quick “no re-encode” trimmers do.
Is the audio kept in sync?
Yes — the audio track is cut to the same range and carried into the trimmed MP4.
Why can’t I see a preview of my AVI/WMV file?
Browsers can’t play some older formats, and trimming without seeing the frames would be guesswork. Convert the file to MP4 first — one click on this site — then trim with the full player. The trim engine itself handles those formats via its fallback.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole trim runs in your browser on your own device — no upload, no server, no queue.
