Egypt is one of the countries where you really do bring passport photos: the Foreign Ministry's own checklist asks for four recent 4×6 cm photos on a white background for every passport category (some missions ask for three — check yours). The first preset renders 4×6 at 600 DPI print resolution (945×1417). Visa photos are a different story, set per embassy: Washington wants a single 2×2 inch photo under six months old, London wants two 35×45 mm prints with your name written on the back — both presets here — and the "4×6 visa photo" photo sites advertise is folklore; 4×6 is the passport size.

Two things Egypt doesn't need photos for: the e-Visa — its application takes an image of your passport's data page and no personal photo at all, whatever photo tools sell you — and the national ID, which the civil registry photographs on the spot. No Egyptian portal publishes pixel or kilobyte specs, so this page invents none. The honest part, as always: this tool resizes exactly and does nothing else. It won't whiten a background or validate framing, and it warns rather than silently stretching a face when the crop doesn't match. Everything runs on your device; an identity photo never touches a server here.

Frequently asked questions

What size is an Egyptian passport photo?

4×6 cm on a white background, recent and front-facing — and you'll need several identical prints: the Foreign Ministry's baseline is four, some consulates ask for three. The preset renders 4×6 at 600 DPI for exact-size printing.

Does the Egypt e-Visa need a photo?

No — the application asks for an image of your passport's data page, not a personal photograph, and no official pixel or kilobyte spec exists. Any site selling an "Egypt e-visa photo" size is inventing a requirement.

What photo does an Egyptian visa at an embassy need?

Whatever your embassy states — there is no single size. The Washington embassy wants one 2×2 inch photo on white, no more than six months old; the London consulate wants two 35×45 mm colour prints on white with your name on the back. Both are presets; check your mission's own checklist first.

Can this tool fix my photo's background?

No — it resizes exactly and does nothing else, and tells you so. Take the photo against a white wall in even light, then size it here. Nothing uploads anywhere: the resize happens entirely in your browser.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertUno runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your file never leaves your computer or phone — there is no upload at all.

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. Processing happens on your device, so serving you costs us almost nothing — no watermark, no account, no file-size limit, no daily quota.
