🔒 Files never leave your device — everything runs in your browser.
Drop a photo and a crop box appears right on it: drag to move, pull the corners to resize, and watch the kept area stay bright while the rest dims — what you see is exactly what you get. Ratio chips snap the box to the shapes documents and platforms demand: square 1:1, classic 4:3, widescreen 16:9, or the 35×45 passport ratio our country photo pages keep telling you to crop for first.
The crop is applied to the original pixels at full resolution — the preview is just for aiming — and the live pixel readout under the box shows the exact output size before you commit. By default the file keeps its own format; switch the chip to PNG for a fully lossless result. One honest limit: animated GIFs are refused rather than silently flattened to a single frame. Everything runs in your browser; a photo never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions
Does cropping reduce the image quality?
The kept pixels are copied from the original at full resolution — the on-screen preview is only for aiming. Saving as JPEG re-encodes like any editor; pick PNG on the output chip for a fully lossless crop.
How do I crop for a passport photo?
Tap the 35×45 chip — the box snaps to the exact ratio most countries' photo standards use — position it over the face per your country's framing rules, crop, then finish on the matching passport-size page to hit the exact pixel dimensions.
Can I crop several photos at once?
Cropping is a visual, per-photo decision, so this tool works one image at a time — dropping a batch loads the first. Crop it, download, then drop the next.
Why can't I crop my HEIC photo here?
Some browsers can't display HEIC or TIFF in the preview, and cropping blind would be guesswork. Convert it to JPG first — one click on this site — then crop with the full preview.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. ConvertUno runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your file never leaves your computer or phone — there is no upload at all.
Is it really free, with no watermark?
Yes. Processing happens on your device, so serving you costs us almost nothing — no watermark, no account, no file-size limit, no daily quota.
