Rotation
Output format

🔒 Files never leave your device — everything runs in your browser.

Some photos just come out sideways: a phone that guessed the orientation wrong, a scan fed in the short way, a screenshot from a turned monitor. Pick 90°, 180°, or 270° — or flip the image horizontally or vertically to fix a mirrored selfie or scan — and every image you dropped transforms together, the whole batch in one pass, each file keeping its own name and, by default, its own format. The live preview turns and mirrors as you choose, so you see the result before you commit.

Camera photos whose orientation lives in EXIF are first straightened automatically, so the rotation you choose applies to the picture you actually see. One honest limit: animated GIFs are refused rather than silently flattened to a single frame — convert them to MP4 first if you need them turned. Everything runs in your browser; a photo never leaves your device.

How it works

  1. Drop your file

Any common format, any size. Nothing is uploaded — the tool runs in your browser.

  2. Choose quality or size

Pick a quality preset, set an exact KB target, or switch the output format — tuned for rotate image.

  3. Download

Your converted file is ready on your device — nothing to wait for, nothing to delete from a server.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotating reduce the image quality?

The pixels are turned losslessly — rotation by 90° steps moves pixels without interpolation — but saving a JPEG re-encodes it, as any editor does. At the tool's quality settings the difference is invisible; switch the output chip to PNG for a fully lossless result.

Can I rotate many photos at once?

Yes — drop the whole batch and every image rotates by the same angle in one pass, each keeping its own name. Files that fail (corrupt, unsupported) are reported individually; the rest complete.

Why does my photo already appear upright here but sideways elsewhere?

That's EXIF orientation: the pixels are stored sideways with a flag some apps ignore. This tool bakes the EXIF orientation in first and then applies your rotation — so what you see is what every app gets from now on.

Can I rotate an animated GIF?

Not here — rotating it through a canvas would silently keep only one frame, so the tool refuses instead. Convert the GIF to MP4 first, or rotate a still. Honest limits beat broken files.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertUno runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your file never leaves your computer or phone — there is no upload at all.

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. Processing happens on your device, so serving you costs us almost nothing — no watermark, no account, no file-size limit, no daily quota.
