Turkey works in a size almost nobody else uses, and it's genuinely official: the biometric photo is 50 mm wide by 60 mm tall on a white, patternless background, taken within the last six months — the NVI's own specification for passports, the ID card, and driving licences. Turkey is also one of the few countries where you still bring a print: NVI offices don't photograph you — they scan your brought biometric photo into the system and hand it back, and photocopies or non-biometric photos are rejected in so many words. The first preset renders 50×60 at 600 DPI (1181×1417); the second is the 2×2 inch format Turkish missions in the US officially accept as equivalent.

The e-Visa needs no photo at all — the official application asks for identity, passport, and travel details only, so don't buy biometric prints for it. Consular sticker visas do want a biometric photo (usually one, uploaded through the visa pre-application system and brought in person — count varies by mission), and the residence-permit system requires the ICAO biometric standard without publishing any pixel or kilobyte spec — the "300 KB JPEG" figure on photo sites is folklore. NVI's composition rules: neutral expression, eyes open, no shadows, headscarf fine with the face visible from chin to forehead, prescription glasses only if the eyes show without reflection. This tool resizes exactly and does nothing else — on your device, with nothing uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a Turkish biometric photo?

50 mm wide by 60 mm tall on a white, patternless background, taken within the last six months — the NVI's own specification, larger than the 35×45 most countries use. Turkish missions in the US officially accept 2×2 inch as equivalent; both are presets here at 600 DPI.

Does the Turkey e-Visa need a photo?

No — the official e-Visa asks only for identity, passport, and travel details plus the fee. Photos matter for consular sticker visas (one biometric photo as a rule, per your mission's checklist) and for residence permits, which use the same ICAO biometric standard.

Do NVI offices take my photo?

No — you bring one printed biometric photo for passports, ID cards, and driving licences; the office scans it into the system (and for licences hands it back). Photocopies and non-biometric prints are rejected, so have it taken properly and print the preset at exact size.

Can I wear glasses or a headscarf?

A headscarf is fine when the face stays visible from chin to forehead with no shadows; prescription glasses only if the eyes show clearly without reflections — coloured lenses and sunglasses are out. This tool resizes only, on your device; it can't fix a background, and says so.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertUno runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your file never leaves your computer or phone — there is no upload at all.

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. Processing happens on your device, so serving you costs us almost nothing — no watermark, no account, no file-size limit, no daily quota.
