Pakistan's official photo size, where one is stated, is 35 mm wide by 45 mm tall on a plain white background, taken within the last six months — that's the DGIP online passport portal's own spec (with a 5MB file cap) and the Pakistan Online Visa System's, which adds two rules worth respecting: the upload must stay under 350 KB, and glasses are banned outright — the photo must show your eyes with no glasses on. The first preset renders 35×45 at 600 DPI print resolution; the second is a smaller same-ratio file that lands comfortably under the visa portal's kilobyte cap, with the compress tools finishing the job if needed. Walk-in passport applications need no photo at all — the Regional Passport Office captures it live, as does NADRA for CNIC and NICOP cards (whose Pak-ID app also accepts an uploaded photo: colour only, no black-and-white, no filters or edits, no hats or coloured lenses).
The trap nobody mentions: DGIP citizenship paperwork uses a different photo entirely — 4×4.5 cm on a light blue background, attested, in quantities of ten or more depending on category — the third preset. Head coverings are fine across Pakistani systems for religious reasons when the full face shows from chin to forehead. And the honest part: this tool resizes exactly and does nothing else. It won't whiten a background or validate framing — NADRA and DGIP both reject edited photos anyway — and it warns rather than silently stretching a face. Everything runs on your device; an identity photo never touches a server here.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring a photo for a Pakistani passport?
Walk-in, no — the Regional Passport Office photographs you during data capture. The online renewal portal does take a photo: 35×45 mm proportions, professionally taken, white background, under six months old, up to 5MB. NADRA captures CNIC photos at its centres, or accepts an upload via the Pak-ID app.
What are the visa portal's photo rules?
The strictest set in Pakistan's systems: 35×45 mm shape, white background, under six months old, face filling 70–80% of the frame, absolutely no glasses, and the file must be 350 KB or less. The small preset plus the compress tools gets any photo under that cap, and the portal offers its own photograph verification tool worth using before you submit.
Why is my citizenship photo different?
DGIP citizenship applications officially require 4×4.5 cm photos on a light blue background — not white — attested front and back, in quantities from ten to twenty-five depending on the category. It's the documented exception to Pakistan's white-background rule, and the third preset renders it at 600 DPI.
Can I wear glasses or a head covering?
Head coverings yes, for religious reasons — hijab, abaya, cap, or turban — provided forehead, chin, and the complete face stay visible; that's NADRA's and the visa system's own wording. Glasses no: the visa portal bans them outright and NADRA says avoid them, so bare eyes are the safe answer everywhere. This tool resizes only, on your device — it can't remove glasses, and says so.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. ConvertUno runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your file never leaves your computer or phone — there is no upload at all.
Is it really free, with no watermark?
Yes. Processing happens on your device, so serving you costs us almost nothing — no watermark, no account, no file-size limit, no daily quota.
